Community Building, Culture, and Public Health Administration (SKF)

is one of the country’s broadest and most diversified administrations and includes seven units (Rescue Service, Environmental Unit, Planning and Building Unit, Technical Unit, Meal Unit, Culture Unit, and Recreation Unit) as well as an Administrative Staff. Our goal is to be a forward-leaning, change-oriented, and service-oriented administration that is held together by our common development work and our striving to enhance each other in our respective professions. At SKF, we work at a fast pace with the broadest palette of municipal tasks, which requires our employees to look beyond their respective operations to contribute to a whole within the administration. In our operations, we respond to three political committees: the Community Building Committee, the Culture & Public Health Committee, and the Conflict of Interest Committee.

The operation consists, besides yourself, of about 20 employees.

About the Position

Our assignments cover a broad spectrum of services; from ditch excavation, height reduction, and road maintenance to seaweed harvesting on the beach. We also carry out our own contracts for playgrounds, outdoor gyms, and construction work for streets and parks. The work is currently performed with a Lännen 8800 K, which gives us high capacity and flexibility in the assignments.

During the winter period, we are part of the municipality's winter preparedness. The operation is flexible and also offers the opportunity to participate in other tasks, such as spring cleaning, driving with a forest wagon, and assignments that involve work outside the machine.

The work may involve irregular working hours, and weekend work may occur as needed.

Are You the One We Are Looking For?

The requirements for the position are a B driver's license, a high school education, and a machine operator's license for excavators and wheel loaders with experience as an excavator operator. Work on the road 1&2 is meritorious, as is having a high school education in construction and contracting. Basic computer skills and a BE driver's license are also meritorious for the position.

It is of great importance to us that you are structured, can easily follow instructions, operate the machine well, work well in a team, and have a pleasant demeanor towards our clients and colleagues. The work offers a lot of freedom under responsibility.
